WATERFORD COAST REFLECTIONS EXHIBITION CONTINUES

WATERFORD COAST REFLECTIONS EXHIBITION

Déise Camera Club is thrilled with the fantastic response to our Annual Photographic Exhibition. We paid special attention to our vast coastline stretching from Ferrypoint near Youghal all the ways to Cheekpoint. It has been a labour of love really as we all spend quite an amount of time exploring, checking, studying and capturing its every nook, cave and wave in all kinds of weather and from dawn to dusk! It is an amazing asset we should be shouting from the rooftops about. Like our Greenway our coastline is waiting to be discovered not just as a holiday destination but for its historic outdoor museum of geological significance. This area has a wealth of beautiful yet “undiscovered” secluded coves and beaches, each with a story to tell. It took more than 460 million years to create the Copper Coast, so take your time to visit and explore it!

When you visit the Copper Coast Geopark in Bunmahon, you will see the extent our photographers go to capture those unique glimpses of a moment in time along our Coastline. Relax and enjoy a coffee and treat in the Copper Coast Café as you peruse the presentation we offer you in the Geopark.

Framed and unframed prints are available to purchase. We thank those who have already invested in some unique pieces to adorn their homes. Just about 90 days to Christmas so what could be more special than a locally captured, printed and framed image of our amazing Waterford coastline.

Update for September 2018

It has been an exciting and busy time in the club recently and we have enjoyed every minute!

Our WATERFORD COAST REFELCTIONS EXHIBITION continues in Copper Coast Geopark, Bunmahon and we are delighted with the very positive response from everyone. We have a stunningly scenic coastline with amazing views and so many opportunities to photograph it. If you get a chance we encourage you to call along and enjoy a coffee and relax in the Café while browsing the exhibition.  Thanks to everyone that has called already.

We also exhibited a selelction of FLOWER PHOTOGRAPHS in conjunction with The Annual Flower Show recently. T hanks to everyone for the interest and comments, they are much appreciated!

WATERFORD COAST REFLECTIONS EXHIBITION

WATERFORD COAST REFLECTIONS EXHIBITION

With delight we invite you to call to the Copper Coast Geopark, Bunmahon to view our latest photographic exhibition celebrating the magnificent coastline we are so lucky to have on our doorstep.

Waterford Coast Reflections portrays the amazing and diverse coastline that stretches from Cheekpoint all the way to Youghal. As Senator Grace O’Sullivan mentioned when declaring the Exhibition open on 1st September, we should feel privileged to be able to access and explore one of the most diverse and picturesque places on earth. Senator O’Sullivan having spent more than ten years sailing around the world said to arrive home and see the millions of years of history contained in the rocks and coastline of The Copper Coast that we should remind ourselves of how precious our homeland is.

The exhibition delivers a sense of the Waterford Coast by capturing a moment in time, the changing seasons, nature in all its powerful and quiet essence, the lapping water and landscape that soothes the soul. Waterford Coast Reflections Exhibition will run throughout September during opening hours.

Sincere thanks to The Copper Coast Geopark for hosting our exhibition and Serenella for the delicious treats and coffee you can enjoy while you browse the photographs. Special thanks to everyone who came to the official launch including members of other camera clubs, family and friends from far and near, much appreciated!
